How we keep lessons safe
Our lessons are live and online, so we are careful about who is in them and how they are run.
Who is in the lesson
Only enrolled learners and their teacher join a live lesson. Learners are let in from a waiting room, by name, and each class uses the academy's own online meeting account.
How lessons are run
Teachers keep lessons to the timetable and the subject. Private chats and one-to-one calls with a learner outside a booked and agreed session are not allowed. Learners are asked to keep their camera on a tidy, appropriate background and to use their real name.
Recording
Lessons are only recorded when every learner in the lesson has recording consent from their parent or guardian. You can give or withdraw consent for each of your children at any time on your Account page. Recordings are used for learning and safeguarding only.
Online conduct
We expect the same respect online as in any classroom. Bullying, sharing other people's images or details, and misuse of the chat are taken seriously and parents are told.
