Tutoring

Tutoring, one on one or in small groups

Live online lessons with a qualified tutor, shaped around your child, from Primary to A Level.

Two ways to learn

A learner having a one on one online lesson with a tutor on a laptop

1 on 1

One on one

A tutor works with your child alone, at their pace, on the topics that matter most.

  • Full attention from the tutor
  • A plan built around your child
  • Times agreed with you
  • Fast progress on a specific gap

Best for: Catching up, exam preparation, and learners who like to ask questions freely.

Small groups

Small groups

A few learners at a similar level learn together with one tutor.

  • Small enough for everyone to take part
  • Learners learn from each other’s questions
  • A friendlier cost per learner
  • Regular sessions that build a routine

Best for: Revision, steady practice and building confidence.

What we help with

Help exactly where it is needed

  • Catching up

Topics that were missed or never quite clicked.

  • Homework and revision

Regular help that keeps work on track.

  • Tests and examinations

Practice, technique and a calm plan.

  • Stretch and extension

More challenge for a learner who is ready.

  • Subject help

Primary to A Level, in the subjects we teach.

  • Study skills

Notes, planning and learning how to learn.

How it works

From enquiry to first session

  1. Tell us what you need

Send a short enquiry: the learner, the subject and what is difficult.

  2. We match a tutor

We suggest a format and a qualified tutor, and agree times with you.

  3. Start with a first session

See how it feels. Change the format or the tutor if it is not right.

  4. See the progress

Your child’s tutor keeps you informed as they improve.

Questions

Good to know before you start.

Does my child have to be enrolled with Bateleur Education?

No. Tutoring is open to learners who study with us and to learners who do not.

Can we choose between one on one and a small group?

Yes. Tell us what you are looking for and we will suggest the best format. You can change it later.

Which subjects can you help with?

Subjects depend on tutor availability. Send us an enquiry and we will confirm what we can offer.

Do you register learners for external examinations?

No. Tutoring prepares learners for examinations. Families arrange official entry themselves through an examination centre.
